HRD is a non-profit organization, was formed in 1973, capable of supervising all activities to the advantage of the diamond trade and industry in general and the Belgian diamond companies in particular. Besides that, HRD conducts diamond lab and grading courses for general benefit of the Belgian diamond trade and industry.

In 2007, this organization became a private foundation called Antwerp World Diamond Centre, and is more than ever committed to maintaining a healthy and prosperous diamond industry.
